I came home from a week in the field, in W. Kansas, last night. This treat was resting on the kitchen cart. A cherry clafoutis. Yummy!

Had to look it up Brad.
Michigan is known for areas of great cherries. I’m not a fan of cherries other than Bing, but Mrs. Slammer would arm wrestle you for a piece if that!!!
She is a lover of all things cherry!!!

Haven’t bought a new Ipad yet so no pics as I can’t download anything, but chicken and steak kabobs with onion, mushrooms pineapple and red pepper. Served with jasmine rice and a add yer own teriyaki sauce.
Just got back from a week of camping on the shores of Lake Michigan . The new portable fold up Blackstone griddle was a camping game changer, especially for clean up. No pots or pans and the Cheesesteaks and breakfasts were amazing!!L

Wheat thins,Classic hummus and Cholula while I think of what else I'm going to have.
I feel drawn to a ham and cheddar sandwich in the skillet for game time.

We like to eat tart-with a bit sweet cherries, and, cook with sour cherries.  Getting harder to sour cherries.  The store does carry sour cherries canned with juice-not a pie filling.  they do ok.  Brad

My grand daughter came and spent the day with us yesterday. My wife and I have breakfast, dinner and supper. Evidently my daughter has breakfast, lunch and dinner. Boy did I get straightened out when I said we were having my world famous sloppy Joes and tater tots for dinner, and they showed up on the table for lunch. I won't make that mistake again.

Last night: grinders from D'Elia's, the local best place for grinders (no pics.)
We took them to Malerba's driving range/ice cream place, and had hot fudge sundaes for dessert.

About 2:30 I called The Keag Store and ordered a haddock roll and a combo pizza.
It's a lot of fun to be too lazy to cook.

Saturday evening dinner. Thick cut, bone in smoked pork chops, with a rosemary cherry compote I made, sweet corn from local farm, and cornbread. Thank you Oregon for a rich dark Pinot noir. Brad
