I am on a field job, in a jobsite shack, once again. I either get to eat it cold, or MW'd. Last night warmed up smoked pork chop and cold cauliflower with dill ranch dip. The night before canned soup. Tonight, likely canned soup or canned pozole. Livin' the dream, eh.

Potato pancakes!!! You knew when mom was making potato pancakes when you walked in the house and it was blue with smoke from frying them in hot lard!!!
She finally started doing it in the garage. They were damn good and served with apple sauce and homemade maple syrup or sour cream!!! Mandatory with every fish fry!!!

Who would not want to explore Liz's kitchen or Al's fireplace. I would put on 10 lbs on just the walk-through. Brad

Ya forgot the mayo!  ;-)  brad  Seriously though that looks good.  We would sub paprika for the cayenne, due to being weenies when it comes to heat.

Never developed a taste for Haggis. 21+ years aged Balvene Portwood, on the other hand, requires only the proper whisky glass...wink

I recieved that bottle of scotch about 20 years ago for Christmas.  I was saving it for a special occasion...like me drinking it alone!  That is what I get for waiting.  Wife swears they left me a sip or so.  Ay, I hope its more than that.  Brad

I just made some baguettes, so I will use them instead of making potato pancakes to go with my beer brats, mustard and homemade sauerkraut. I'll have some pasta salad on the side, which I forgot to eat for lunch.

Have to give you credit for hanging onto that prized bottle of scotch that long. It must have come from someone very special.

I drove down to West Bend , Wi. to get a Christmas s redo with my mom seeing I spent it in the hospital. Went to a fancy grocery store to get fixins for dinner and bought a beautiful ribeye steak , and I mean beautiful!!! One big steak for the both of us and thought they were $19.99 / lb. Got to the register and it rang up to $33.00 .
Turns out the price per lb. was $29.99 and the meat case was for angus steaks and the one I picked was Prime cut. Oh well, I had moms credit card and it was “Christmas “.
Well, it was the right choice and one of, if not, the best steak I ever had.
Kosher salt , cracked pepper and a little garlic powder……….Damn!!!
Almost killed me to pay $33.00 for a steak I have to cook but it was the best mistake I ever made. My compliments to the cow!!!
Slammer!!!
