Christmas dinner is a tradition in our family , and for as long as I can remember it’s been Spaghetti with a thick meat sauce that’s cooked all day.
An old Sicilian recipe that my mother has made since I was little.
This used to be served on Christmas Eve, but it ruined many a Christmas Eve because some of us could not control our love for this meal and would have 2 or 3 bowls, and be done for the night!!! Now it’s served on Christmas Day, as our festivities usually happen on the Eve, and Christmas Day was for relaxing.
Trust me when I say this was one of the best!!! I even opened up my last chunk on Parmesan Reggiano I brought from Italy .
Slammer!!!

The long two days capped with a tenderloin dinner. Marilyn made the salad, I made mashed potatoes, and our oldest daughter made the tenderloin and roasted fennel. Brad

She was darn proud of it.  She was not happy with dad always sneaking in the kitchen and checking the meat temp.

Grilled ham and cheese sandwiches: Al had American and Swiss, I had Cheddar. We have a small pre-sliced ham that can be used for many different things.
