Well, I figured the phrase "vaccination stubbornness" in your previous post was in there for a reason.
Anyway... 3:40 - 4:00 .... you'll have 5 seconds to spare .... well worth one's time/effort, IMNSHumbleO, as the "principle" pops up regularly ... but the "funny" aspect stands well-enough all on its lonesome.
Realistically, Mike, two chances .... slim and none!
However, the improvements in Canadian society directly attributable to his being sacked are quite pronounced.

My opinion on his stubbornness comes from thinking his team mates probably tried to talk him into it,, I mean they need the guy as was evidenced. I guess he stuck to his guns, (sans fastball)

Mike, I'd say you are an honorary hockey fan,,, you mentioned a while back that you had a friendly encounter with a Milwaukee Admirals French-Canadian player who was on a bicycle looking for an apartment rental.

Kane needs a better shot at the Cup again, he’s only got 3. Toews might just pack it in after another year or so,,, he looks a bit over the hill.

"The Blues were called for a too many men on the ice penalty and Head Coach Mike Keenan instructed Hull to serve the penalty. Hull responded by telling Keenan he doesn’t serve penalties. Keenan then told Hull again to go serve the penalty and once again Hull said 'I don’t serve penalties.' The ref skates over to the bench yelling we need someone to get in the box. Hull’s teammates began saying just go Hullie!
Finally Hull hopped over the boards chinstrap unbuttoned, dragging his stick behind him as he took his time and slowly skated to the box. After the penalty expired Hull stayed in the box for an extra 2-3 seconds while the door was open. He finally came out just as the puck came right in his direction.
Hull would have had an easy breakaway but instead stepped over the puck and slowly skated back to the bench. In one motion he jumped over the boards and looked right at Keenan and said, “I told you I don’t serve penalties.”

The kid across the street from us in Toronto was drafted by MD's team when it joined the OHL. (It was a brand new team, the Mississauga Ice Dogs. Guess how they got that name.) This was when the OHL was trying to eliminate violence/fighting. The kids were told that being on the team meant that they had to fight. Wonder where they got that philosophy?
... I expect they got that philosophy from the same place pretty much every other team in junior hockey in Canada [back in the day??*] got the same philosophy. ... even teams from before you-know-who "graced" (??) our rinks and airwaves with his presence.... even before he was born.
* = and still fairly commonplace today, from what I see, although improvements are being made.

This is what passed for excitement in beautiful west-central MB yesterday... The "Stoney Point Bluegrass Band" ..... initially "mistakenly" introduced by the emcee as the Stoney Mountain Bluegrass Band. [T'was a Metis celebration/ festival.... naturally everybody got the inside (pun intended) joke.]
