Had I not tried to play hockey back in the day I'd be considering putting hockey in the same place gymnastics/figure skating/synchronized swimming have resided for few decades, i.e. have watched almost none since it became patently clear that the judging was not on the up-and-up.   And the "explanation" [cough, hack, cough, splutter] is unadulterated b.s., IMNSHumbleO.  

I think maybe Pie was conducting a sociological experiment to see whether the ladies were more attracted to cowboys or [pro] hockey players.

Edit: And now I'm wondering how they rank ..... pump jockeys .... pro hockey players ... cowboys.

- in the Calgary series I think Coleman directed the puck in with his skate,, no goal,, the right call. 
- Brett Hull,, in the crease in 1999.

But, but, but..... in the examples you cite there was some doubt, so I can accept either way.... in tonight's there was no doubt.  And anyhoo, isn't directing okay, so long as there is no "distinct kicking motion"?   I expect the governors will get it all sorted out this summer .... I think you-know-who held the governors in high regard didn't he?   What the?!?!!? 7-6.... I'm gonna hafta stop typing and pay attention.

I couldn't tell.... they didn't show as many diff. angles/replays/etc.as they usually do.... maybe the guys back in TO had somewhere else they'd rather be?  Does it matter whether the puck was loose or knocked out of Sergechev's glove? I.e. maybe it's okay to elbow the glove... and dislodge the puck so long as the whistle hadn't been blown??  I can see why Gallant wouldn't call for a challenge and risk a penalty. 

Tampa's looking good, but I already told my brother-in-law that I think Colorado would take it... and it's too early to wimp out.  

I've been catching bits and pieces of CHL stuff ... Edm.-Seattle and Ham.-Windsor ... pretty good/entertaining hockey.   [..... but no fearless Mem. Cup predictions.]

I thought I saw the puck in the air after the Ranger (Sergebeskinoff?!) goalie kind of caught it , then one replay showed SS flicking arm out towards it,,, dunno if that’s within the rules or not. Lightning is the better team anyway, imho.
Haven’t followed junior hockey in years,, NHL and MLB is all I got time fer,,, too many tunes, too little time….

Vegas could be an excellent fit for Bruce. It's a talented team with upside. The only downside for Bruce is that in their five-year tenure as an NHL team he'll be the third head coach. Doesn't seem to be much job security there...

In late 1981, Kitchener Rangers coach Joe Crozier got suspended for two games. Back then, OHL teams only had one coach. That’s why an injured Brian Bellows, 17 years old at the time, stepped behind the bench and ran the show.   Bellows coached Kitchener to a 4-0 victory over Windsor and a 6-5 loss at London.  Bellows still holds the record of being youngest coach in OHL history.

And he was interim captain of the North Stars at the age of 19 years and 4 months. It's not in the record books 'cause he was interim captain, subbing for injured Craig Hartsburg.

And, of course, he won Stanley's silver mug with les Canadiens in '93.

He was a St. Catharines product, & after Jr.B with the Falcons moved on to the Kitchener Rangers and helped them won the Memorial Cup. [btw, when I was one of the black aces at Univ. o' Guelph Gary Green was also a part-time sub (I was a full time sub).  He became the youngest NHL coach ever at 28 years old with the Caps]

I dont seem to have a 4 minute attention span these days so I didn’t watch Clower for more than 25 seconds.
FWIW, I don’t see the need for a vax mandate either for truckers , sports teams, or (gasp) politicians. And I haven’t kept track of the numbers but I’m hunching it’s time to lift all mandates. However, this is a sports thread and I’ll get off the verboten topic toot sweet.
