I trust "everybody" is giving the World Junior Tournament their full attention.  I just checked in on th Austria-Sweden game.  About 7 min. gone in second period and it's 2-0 Sweden...............  shots on goal: 27-1.    What the!?!?!? 27-1!!!   

And Craig Button gave us this astute tidbit on the second goal:  "The goalie didn't even see the puck because he was being screened."

It's early, but so far Canada looks pretty solid in both their games, but they haven't been really tested. [See... if they need a stand-in  for Button, I'm well-qualified.]

Chara deserted Ottawa for Beantown,,,besides, former St. Catharines TeePee Stan Mikita was a Czech in the NHL long before the Big “Stretch” Z.

I don't doubt that Chara can/will still hold his own, but he's not the man he once was.... or something like that.

No, he's not. Down this way word is that the Bs wanted to move him into the front office, but he still wants to skate. I can respect both points of view... but it's hard to justify several million a year for a captain who just isn't as productive as some of the young guns anymore.

At 3:00 this morning a lady in town [No! No! NOT a lady of the night] apparently couldn't sleep so went out and took a series of pics around town.... with her smart phone.... moon as the light source.  This is the skating rink (?) on the slough at the N W corner of town.
