And keep an eye out for this one,,,$1,000 on eBay. Bob played one game for the Teepees, and one game for the Green Bay Bobcats of the Independent League. It could be in St. Boniface since he played with the Hoekstra’s..... could finance yer next trip to the south, Owen..... southern Minnesota, that is.

...I'm not a collector, but I have this one of "Gordy Howe."
A couple of shops in Wpg. offered me $50 CDN, but I see guys on ebay are "asking" close to $200US. Heck I figure the mis-spelled name should be worth more than $50.

Nothing, actually, but I shop in the men's clothing section. ![]()
(I recently bought a bunch of stuff there - tees and sweatshirts.)

In grade school we'd flip them at the wall. Closest to the wall got them all.
.... just don't tell me you're gonna wear them under a blazer/jacket [cough, splutter, cough, hack]. Actually I wasn't up on exactly what H&M was... I was thinking along the lines of Honest Ed's [i.e. Mirvish] so I consulted the all-knowing Google. After seeing the logo, I realize I have seen it before in malls [i.e. in Winnipeg, not Russell].
...or more likely he was just wanting to dress in a more authentic style for performing:

The first time I saw Utah Phillips, Saul Broudy backed him up on harmonica. Utah introduced him thusly: "Saul was doing animal husbandry at the University of Minnesota until they caught him at it."
Authenticity? Geez, I was living in Rochdale.
And my musical gig was playing at mass at St. Basil's, U of T.

Your ^ post reminded me of "Director John Walker's latest film." If you're interested, just Google "< ". I haven't seen it, but fwiw, my BIL has periodically done some sound work for JW and gives the film an unqualified ![]()
...and who knows, some might (?) think the film title meshes with you-know-who.

You're referring to the film otherwise known as A**l Cavities? I'm thinking of a particular you-know-who, not involved in coaching.

Well, I went to the film's Web site. I took the test and found I'm not an -------. But I suspect that "you-know-who" just might fail.
.... the psychological trauma from having to wear that colour of uniform might have shortened his life by a couple of years.
May he RIP.
Edit: It's a small pic, but I think I see/imagine (?) some resemblance to a "Schinkel" I had as a student almost 50 years ago in beautiful N.E.Manitoba. I suppose stranger things have happened.

One of our "real" players [i.e. not an imposter, like some of us] would attend the community socials/dances.... get pretty much blotto'd in the process and then go out the next p.m. and score a goal or four. [Fwiw, I don't think I ever got a hat-trick in an entire week... counting practices.] Anyhoo, at one of the ^^ socials, he and I were simultaneously at the bar when his mom came by and offered a bit of motherly advice, mixed in with just a tiny hint of disgust: "Norm, why don't you go find yourself a girl?"
Edited by - Owen on 11/22/2020 11:32:39
Reminds me of the joke my parents told, about the fictional parents of a fictional guy. They tell him to "find yourself a nice Catholic girl." A few years on, they tell him to "find yourself a nice girl." A few more years and it's "get a girl!"
BTW, I had one of those Pittsburg sweaters - purchased at Maple Cheese Gardens. It was ... different. My fave was my original Atlanta Flames sweater, with number 12 - Tom Lysiak. also purchased at the loser arena (those were the Ballard years).
The WHA had some "interesting" uniforms.

.... and look what happened to K.S. .... don't say you haven't been warned! ![]()
Edit: Didn't Ballard kinda take a sharp left turn after the death of his [first] wife? Periodically, I wonder if something like could happen to me [i.e. mentally/psychologically that is] ?!?!?!?
