Our local Legion nearly went under & still isn't doing that great with Covid. There's not as many people out selling poppies & those donation boxes with poppies in local stores keep getting ripped off by lowlifes. 

And one "family" runs with the issue and makes it huge (including promoting a boycott) because, well, they have nothing else to offer.

Ya gotta wonder what corporations are thinking (if they are thinking at all) when they make such stupid decisions. Did they think "poppy = heroin"?

Fwiw, I vote for the STYLE demonstrated by the dude with the beard.

Well, second from left is definitely wrong (gosh golly, Howie's got it right). The way I was taught back in the late Fifties: three button jacket, do up the top two; two button jacket, do up the top one. I suppose you could get away with doing up all of them.

I had a Harris Tweed that I wore in university that was a three button, but also had a tab that stuck out from under the left lapel, and a button under the right lapel. Supposedly you could do the jacket up all the way if you were walking on the moor. That was a great jacket. I wore out the lining and didn't ditch it until I found a moth hole when we were leaving Toronto. A really well spent $35 - 1963-2002.

Well, the way I've got it figured, it's always good to be prepared should the opportunity present itself.    

Seriousness aside, suits are meant to be buttoned.... jackets/blazers ...ixnay!

As an aside.... i.e. an aside from the regular asides.... a few years ago Brian MacFarlane was manning a booth at "Snowbirds Extravaganza" in FL. where he was flogging a book he'd written. I did okay on the one-minute-shoot-the-puck-at-a-target, but less well when I commented about his (in)famous pen-flip when the network cut away from an overtime playoff game.  He was actually quite gracious in informing me that he wasn't Dave Hodge. 

BUT, you've once again left us wondering.... What say you re. how  jackets are to be buttoned?   Edit: and that's with AND without a stetson.
