In sports history? Gotta take issue with that. We had Danny Gallivan and Dick Irvin calling for the Habs. Gallivan alone was "worth the price of admission". He was exciting to listen to, way more entertaining than plodding old Foster Hewitt. And, way before his broadcasting career, he was once invited to a New York Giants training camp as a pitcher. An arm injury may have been bad for him at the time, but it turned out to be our good fortune.

As far as I’m concerned, one of the worst things a baseball announcer can say, and he (FOX Sports) just said it, is after 4 1/2 innings ,”we’re halfway home”.
