Heres a instrumental take of Mothers Advice inspired from the pickn of Boggs. I worked out the claw version in the first position and got as close to Boggs up the neck version as I can get. Played a dirty thirtys RK that I modified quite a bit to get this sound. Diggn the deep sound, nice change and more relaxing to my ears. cheers

Recorded this awhile back. Dirty thirties RK strung with the base end of classical guitar strings. Banjo teinkering. Had forgot i recorded this, sounds pretty good to me but the banjo is set up different again. I always pictured this tune as the slave escaping captivity for the first part, and the B part...the chase is on, guns fired. Words to it?

Love this good ol banjo tune. One of those that stuck out. Sydna Myers is the only version i know.... Inspired but not the same.
