This morning I was trying to learn some songs in D tuning. Then I started to loose my concentration and began doodling. I think this has possibilities. It is all my own creation and for me represents a giant step although it is rough and definately a work in progress.

This is something I am working on. I haven't ironed out the lyrics yet. This tune sounds vaguely familiar to me, so if you can identify it please do so. It is played on the 1920's Supertone Ragtime King #407 I recently acquired.

Our kitty got himself in a bind a couple of weeks ago. So I wrote a song about it. It is sung to the tune of Groundhog.

Was just goofing around last night and decided to record a track of each banjo for comparing them, The first two are the two I play the most. I had trouble with the bakelite one as the fingerboard is narrower. The tune is Old Moll Hare, OK, so I committed the worst crime in the world of banjos - played CH on resonator banjos. I was going to take the resonators off, but it was getting late. Lorna

I am trying to learn up picking here. This is my first song in that style, and still needs a lot of work. I'm having fun though.

Everyone has to do this one. It's like an initiation rite or something. This is on Sleeping Beauty - my mahogany openback.

This is played on the 1920's Supertone Ragtime King, #407 I recently acquired. I was just warming up to record something else and I liked the way it sounded.

My tuner went out, and I know this is tuned lower than D. But I wanted to post something new on the mahogany lined aluminum rim banjo. It has developed a pinging on the 5th string - the nut there I'm pretty sure - or else the bridge. I figure it out sooner or later. This is a bit bluesy, and is one of the things I'm working on.

After the ice cream truck went by playing this jingle I couldn't erase it from my brain. This was recorded once, nipped a bit for timing and then copied and pasted. It was three tracks, coming in at different times. It is a challenge for timing.
