Our kitty got himself in a bind a couple of weeks ago. So I wrote a song about it. It is sung to the tune of Groundhog.

A song about true love, sung from the heart. My old Fred almost got himself bumped off a few months ago, so after 16 years he has become an indoor cat against his will. He's none too happy about it yet, but we decided we can't live without him just yet.

I know how hard it is as our dog of 16 years passed away in November. He and Louie became best of friends in the short 2 months they shared a home. I worried about getting a kitten because of the dog's condition and age, but it turned out to be the right dec ision. The opportunity to adopt the kitten came up unexpectedly,at the antique fair where we set up. Some woman had a carrier with mom and kittens. Mom was a stray who chose the lady's porch as the place to have kittens. The woman's husband gave her an ultimatum to get rid of the cat and kittens....or he would. Allen wasn't too fond of the idea, but now if his little buddy doesn't come at the first call, Allen gets so worried....
