From our late 60's group, "The Skillet Lickers Bluegrass Band". Recorded off air from the C&W Hour TV show, 1969. I wrote this 'tongue in cheek' tune while doodling with G minor tuning. John Munro mando, Len Cohen dobro, Brent Miller guitar, Rob McCarthy banjo.

Rob McCarthy banjo, lead vocal, Brent Miller, guitar, baritone vocal, and John Munro, tenor vocal and mandolin. Instruments from memory were banjo, Gibson-Epiphone EB-88, guitar, Martin D35 (Brazilian), mandolin, Gibson A5.

An old time fiddle tune I heard years ago from Art Rosenbaum. It's an old Irish reel that made it's way to Appalachia and Art described his version was from a banjo arrangement by Jim Lucas of a 'rare fiddle tune'. I play this one clawhammer style in 'sawmill tuning' (gDGCD) on my locally built White Swallow open back, and overdubbed some guitar.

Another early instrumental recording from 1968 by our Adelaide band, The Skillet Lickers Bluegrass band. Not how I would pick it now but it was early days. Very little info on pickin down under then. The banjo is a Gibson built 1967 Epiphone EB-88.

Len played with our band for over a year after being a member of the well known New Zealand Band, "The Hamilton County Bluegrass Band" in the 60's
