I've been after one for a while and eventually found a Dobro branded resophonic banjo. I tried making one after hearing Joemac's home made one but my skills and patience aren't up to it. I bought it the other day from Ken of "Kentucky Tundra" in Alaska and currently it's in transit from Anchorage after reaching there from Fairbanks.

Banjo was my first crack at playing a musical instrument and I think I'm getting gradually better, this accelerated dramatically after lessons from Joemac in the winter of 2012/2013.
