Well, I have a new Silvertone, from about 1960 or so, in the original chipboard case, took me a while to get it all cleaned up and set back up. Plays like the old one I had. Reminds me of when my older shildren were babies. I have a new girlfriend, who likes to hear me play my banjo, at all hours, day or night. She even puts up with my singing. Setting up my jewelry studio and shoppe. Someday I might even have a counter and a cash register. Only 'cause I want to use that vintage cigar box for a guitar. I have been practicing and can play several tunes, with only the ccasional mistake. Work has been tough, and I am starting graduate school in January. It will be fun. Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, Happy New Year, Kwanza, Festivus, whatever you celebrate, I wish you well.

Listened to all the oldies as a child, "acid country" as I call it. Mom is from Alabama, and dad was a rodeo cowboy before he joined the military. I'm the oldest of four, father of four, and grandfather of two. I'm currently working my way through dueling banjos and the ballad of jed clampett. Fingers are a bit stiff, but are finding the right frets finally after 3 weeks. Just got a Mandolin for my son, and a Guitar for my paraplegic uncle. As my boss asked me "Are ya tryin to get the band back together?" I guess I'd like to find a couple of like minded folks to practice with.
