Well, true to form, I have found time to add a new blog. Embarrasingly enough, I see that it has been over a year since I have done that!! I have visited this site over the past year, but always told my self that next time I would blog. So....... It has been a year full of music, work, and just general running around for me. My band, Dakota Nights is starting to get out there a little bit more!!! Alot of work, Practice, decision making, and I have loved every minute of it!! To see what we are up to, just go to www.bismanlive.com/Dakota_nights to see what, & where we are going!, and to hear our music! On the Banjo hand, I've played a few places with some friends, and as always, trying to learn more on the banjo! It is a sad day when a person thinks they know it all! There is so much to learn, and play!!!! The closest banjo teacher is over 8 hours away, so I settle for DVD's, and all the tips and ideas from all of you wonderful people on this site. Thank you so much for that!! I'll close now. Take care, reader!

Love Bluegrass! I'm self taught, no teachers around my area. websites like the Banjo Hangout are really great! I'm part of a band called "Dakota NIghts" which specializes in classic country, and 50's-60's and a bit of swing. I play bass guitar, guitar, and keyboard in this band. I'm also part of a trio called the "Praire Belles" which is all bluegrass. There, the banjo comes into play, as well as the bass(I play an accoustic bass, I don't think I could handle an upright bass, although I'd love to try!) The Belles is all female, and we have a blast, playin', singing, drinking cappacino, and lots of laughter! I am truly blessed with all that I have been given in this life.
