Hi There

I have been involved in music since I was knee high to grasshopper, starting recorder in school at the age of 9. I then started guitar at age 10 with a wonderful teacher (now deceased) and continued with him till age 17 where I started teaching at his store. His name was Jim Riccio, was a studio guitarist, and had his own jazz band in Toronto Ontario.

I later continued my music education in high school at RH King Collegiate (now Academy) both instrumental and theory. This course was under the auspiciousness of the Royal Conservatory of Music Toronto. After graduating I continued with the Conservatory in Violin, Conducting, Composition, and theory where I received Graduate Certificates, and then later finished my Bachelor's.

I have enjoyed all genre of music, but have now returned to my Irish roots, and have began replaying the Tenor Banjo and Guitar in Irish tuning GDae, and re-learn the "fiddle side" of the violin.

After 38 yrs as a chef I have semi retired and am back teaching music, teaching Guitar, Banjo (Scruggs & Irish), Fiddle, Mandolin, and Auto Harp.

It is a pleasure meeting you folks here at BHO and hope to make lots of friends.

Blessings;
AJ
