Good day folks;

Well it's been quite awhile.  I have been focusing for the last couple of years on the fiddle as I teach it.

Now I have a couple of banjo students, one Scruggs style, and the other Irish Tenor.  So it kinda' put the banjo bug back into me.

I lost my old tenor a few years back, but found an old '66 KAY six string banjo in my work shop (you know the one guitar players played so they could sound like a banjo player) and converted it over to Irish Tenor with GDae tuning (eliminating the 2 outside strings). I'll have to eventually re-notching the nut, but it works fine for now.  Nice thing about can rebuild without too much problem.  This 6 string is like taking an old 62 Chevy Biscayne and making it into a sports car, but it will work.  One problem though, no tone ring with this one, but has a good sound for what it is.

Good to be back and hoping to make some new friends.
