Here is a tune I have played since a child on the recorder, and now other instruments.
Here it is for Irish tuned Tenor/Plectrum. The stretch for some on the plectrum may be bothersome.

This tune is quite a tune, originally written in 2/4. I transcribed into 4/4 so my friends can follow along. They have a hard time playing 2/4 slowly.
This sound file is an old 6 string guitar converted to a Tenor GDae.
I will be putting up the Tenor Banjo version in a couple of days.
Hope you enjoy

Here is that recording I promised in banjo.
A friend of mine came over, so he played guitar. He decided on a
simple background sound.

Here is a tune I picked up in the 1970's. I first heard it by the Chieftains.
The song is written by some one named Paddy Moloney, supposedly for
a friend's wedding, who's name is Garech.
My playing may be a bit off here on the sound file (also on guitar), my apologies.
The transcript is from me playing a phrase and then notating it down on paper and then setting it up in Guitar Pro 6.
Hope you enjoy it;

I am in the midst of teaching this to my violin student class. There are 3 violin parts for my students and I play the banjo. Weird or what? it works and they are enjoying it.
Hope you enjoy

This is a tune I had "fallen in love" with a few years back, and generally play it on the fiddle. As I play Irish Tenor Banjo as well I thought I would give it a try on this instrument.
With Audacity one can be a 1 person band. I am playing both parts.
I need to get a better grip (strength) on my upper position chords, but it's working. It's been a few years since I put away this instrument, and now back at it.

Here is a tune that has stuck with me for over ten years now, and is a staple for me when I play at Old folks homes and such. On the fiddle I treat it as a ballad style, and on the Tenor Banjo more of a dance tune. I have heard many Irish bands play this tune at "sub-light speed", and then again have heard fiddlers play it quite slowly and sweetly.
Hope you enjoy

Here is my second attempt at this tune in 4/4 without background music. The banjo I am using is a Washburn B-16 5 string bluegrass I have now set up as a plectrum (22 frets) in Irish tuning. the other recording was on the KAY string converted to Irish tenor, but the recording was really bad, to the point someone thought it to be a midi. so here is a quick play to replace it.
