It is a 18th century Irish song, and the author is actually in question. Some say it is Turlough O'Carolan (I have leaned towards him for this one), or Freckled Donal Macnamara. Funny tis this... It is listed as South Wind and The South Wind. I don't care, I just like the song/tune.

...to continue (a little fast with the enter key of my key board), this is a piece I play as a staple on the Auto harp. I thought I would try it on the banjo and guitar in Irish tuning GDae. I like it actually. I hope I don't take all 3 to a gig, boy will I be confused. :)
