I was having trouble this morning sending PMs, but that seems to be fixed now.

If I click on my profile picture at the top of the screen, it says my profile has been locked by a moderator. But if I click on my profile picture in a post, it works like it’s is supposed to.

If you want to change your picture on your home page, you need to click edit to do so. All information is locked on your home page to keep unwanted "guests" out.

If I click on some threads (right now the red fox bill emerson thread) I get a page that pops down with the OP’s post and I can’t access anything else on that thread.

Boy, do I have an issue.

If I click on MY name at the top right corner of every page, I go to THIS member's page: https://www.banjohangout.org/my/Old%20Hickory

Notice, we're both using "Old Hickory" as our handle. Mine has a space in it, which the Hangout has always recognized. I'm sure that has something to do with the problem.

Another problem, which I wrote about in its own topic in this forum, is that it's been years since I've been able to write in-post text tab using the "Formatted" Paragraph Format option.  It previews OK. But what appears to happen is that upon posting the message with text tab in the paragraph feeds or single-space line-break HTML command get stripped out and so it gets posted as one long useless line.

I discovered this past week that I can manually enter the HTML line breaks in "Source" view and they work. That's maybe ok for the short amounts of tab I might want to write to illustrate a point. But it's not great for the rest of the message I might be writing.

Can you figure out what's going on? Is is potentially a Mac problem? It happens in all three browswers on my Mac: Safari, Firefox, Chrome.

I don't want to change anything. It's just that I used to be able to go to my home page (to look at photos, or check activity, or friends list or whatever) from anywhere on this site, simply by clicking my profile picture at the top left of the page (see picture). Now, when I do that, it tells me my account is locked. But... if I click on my profile picture in one of my posts (also shown in picture), it goes to my homepage, just as it always has.

Confirmed.  The profile link from posts, when a user has a name with spaces are formatted like this:

https://www.banjohangout.org/my/A+Drum+On+A+Stick

But the 'view my profile' link in the top corner of the page is formatted like this:

https://www.banjohangout.org/my/A%20Drum%20On%20A%20Stick

The plusses work, the spaces don't (whether encoded or not).

The link attached to my name and avatar at the top right of every page should be: https://www.banjohangout.org/my/Old+Hickory

Instead, clicking on my name and avatar goes to: https://www.banjohangout.org/my/Old%20Hickory  . . . the page of Grant Webers

Seems there's a redirecting issue with member's profiles. I clicked on the menu button (mobile) to then click on my profile, but was redirected to the Members Homepage. I logged out and back in, thinking it was something to do with that, and was then able to view my profile, but after leaving that page going forward and trying it again to see, it still led to the Members Homepage. I even tried going to my ads, which I could view, and clicked on my member name on an ad, which still directed it back to the Members Homepage.

Of course it does. But since the links I shared show the URLs for MY "Old Hickory" name and HIS "old hickory banjo" name, it seems to me it should take a minute or less to go to my name and avatar and re-apply MY url:

https://www.banjohangout.org/my/Old+Hickory

Notice how MY url ends in: Old+Hickory

The other guy's ends in: Old%20Hickory  (Remember: his handle is "old hickory banjo"

And to tell the truth, the URL currently going to him SHOULD be going to me, because Old%20Hickory in HTML means:  Old[SPACE]Hickory

That's me.

Nice of Eric to ask if anyone's experiencing problems.

The link for me at Member Homepages, viewed in iPhone browser, does take me to my page. I that's good.

The issue with clicking on your profile pic and being taken to the wrong place should be all fixed now!
