Oh..n..I made a firing pin for the next project gun a 1915 stevens favorite..
Test fired it today but still needs tinkering a bit.. :0)

Really only needed a firing pin...
But I have future plans to modify it..

Well....
I gave the old barrel a good work out..
Bolo'ed...key holed at 30 yards..
So...new barrel i cut it today..
N..now can hit a soda pop can at 80 yards.. :0)
After that I really can not see a soda can...
Eyes of me youth I do not have annamore... :0/

Went with a manlicher forearm..

Remember that little 22 boys rifle.. the one that looks like a muzzel loader..?

Well it under went major surgery...
Made a breech block for it for center fire cartridges..
N now it fires 6mm hornet ammo... :0)
N it can convert back to the .22 ... :0)

Here is the oridganal 22 rimfire block n..the first block I made...

The first block came out real good..but..
On the last procedure of drilling the firing pin hole..the drill bit snapped off clean... bummer...

I tried all the tricks I knew to salvage it...but no soap... :0[

The good news is the second one came out much better..
As the first one was good pratice...
N..like always there are improvements one thinks of along the way.. :0)

I am real pleased on how the chamber came out..
I came up with me own way to do it as there are no chamber reamer made for this round..well none that I know of..n..I have looked alot..

I think it will make a dandy little deer getter... :0)

Make no mistake..the first proof round ..the gun was tied down in a cradle n a long lanyard was used ...

Todays folly...
Made the extractor work..
Installed primitive sigths.. went to the range..zeroed hit the gongs n ventilated an old propain tank now it is ready fer the scrap bin.. ;0)

Then figgered a way to mount a scope..without removing the iron sights.. :0)

There ya have it..2 differnt calibers..
Complely interchangeable..

.22 lr..n.6 mm k hornet... :0)

2450 fps...75 grain boolit..so far..
For the 6 mm k hornet..
N a tack drver too.. :0)

Tweeked the load a bit..
2514 fps fer that bullet..
A factory bullet.. I wanna try to make me own 75 grainers to shoot..

So far this little rifle is very successful... :0)

That equates to apx 1054 energy foot lbs... :0)

I have to correct meself..60 grain bullet. Not 75..sorry for me mistake...

Milled a real breech block.. to see if it could be retrofitted..
But no soap... :0/
