In most places I've lived/worked ['cept the remote reserves], when people are/were out-and-about, the poppies are/were generally on an outer garment ... though on the ball cap has it's adherents.  Maybe an additional one on shirts/dresses/blouses/etc.???

I really haven’t noticed one way or ‘nother… it’s never been on my radar, although I bought 2 the other day and sent DV/MD a pic letting him know I wasn’t one of “you people”.

I figure that also applies to most of the guys who jumped on the "vilify DC/MD bandwagon" 5 years ago.   Some guy(s) tried to tell me that DC had a big sphere of influence, but 5 years on it seems it wasn't all that noteworthy.  

Well, DC/MD’s sphere of influence didn’t cover “those/you” people - new Canadians, I think, take a while to warm up to hockey (is that a pun or a contradiction?) or much of our culture, which I believe is why they’re not aware of the significance of poppy-donning. (pun intended). However, if one peruses comments on FB there are hordes of DC minions ranting about "fire McLean, get rid of Jen -she hates fighting, the only okay guy is Bieksa (Bee-es-ka as MD pronounced it) , Luke is useless, bring Don back". 

... so are the hordes of minions at least decreasing in size/numbers in the past 5 years?  

Actually I was more-or-less awake during that initial broadcast where JB and Bee-eska disagreed, and thought it adequately ho-hum ... didn't realize it was [apparently?] worthy of further expert analysis until something popped up on Facebook a few days later.

I don’t keep track of that very closely,, I suspect once a Cherry minion, always a Cherry minion.
Jen & Kevin have been butting heads about fighting from the first season she was on HNIC, sometimes I think urged on by the producer to garner more viewers.

my inter-city bus travels took me to Trawnna from St. Kitts , the hustle & bustle of Yonge St. got me revved up,,  'course we had to roam around Yorkville ,, that was in the folk-scare days when small coffeehouses like the Riverboat had big name talent booked.  & Sam the Record Man had the latest folk , blues (acoustic), & bluegrass LP's. 

Well, paying attention/following along is just as important as asking the right (?) question .................. and getting a relevant (?) "answer."

Yes indeed, some of them are.  I like to give the guy on the other end enough credit that he can easily tell which are serious/integral to the discussion and which are rhetorical or joaks.     If I had to aim everything at the lowest common denominator I think I'd "give up."
