This is an improv on the main melody from Duke Ellingtons classic "Caravan" I have also used some effects and samples from garageband.

Here is another fiddle tune that features my "el dodgo style fiddle playing" Apologies for the scratchy tone at the beginning , nonetheless I think it sounds authentically old timey. :-)

This is the 5th Track from our Album... Also features Frank Powesland on Dobro. I like this one because the banjo is just rolling along underneath everything keeping it solid and groovy...and check out Vaughans great vocal inflection on "tortures" at 2.47...

Now I'll warn you-this is a bit wacky, it was the first thing I ever recorded on our new laptop at my uncles place in Amsterdam ;-) The percussion is a zipper and the whole thing was largely improvised, you can hear Bronte and Gywn, my faithful companions in the background. Definitely belongs in the "Other Styles" section.

This was also recorded on my laptop about a year ago, in a hotel but in Austria ( generally better acoustics in Austrian hotels rooms I find) it was inspired by Bela and Tony's version off their solo banjo works album. Theres a few little mishaps but I like it anyway....

This is the first posted recording with the Stelling Virginian. It is influenced by Trishka, Bela and my old fiddle teacher Louisa Wise. I'm not completely happy with my playing on it, but I wanted to upload something so this is it.

Here is a version of one of my favourite fiddle tunes that I recorded on my laptop a while ago. Its the Stelling Virginian on all tracks. And a wee bit of fiddle at the start. Enjoy. All comments welcome.
