Adrian's Hornpipe was recorded by great Missouri fiddler Bob Walters. I was happy to play and record this nice tune on January 10th at Rhys Jones' house in Warrenton, VA. This was my first time out on this tune and I chose 3-finger style, which is appropriate for a Missouri Valley tune. Rhys Jones-fiddle Steve Arkin-3-finger banjo Jason Ashby-guitar

I finally got around to breaking out the single-track recording of Babe from a 40-minute recording of a performance by Palmer Loux, Greg Loux, and me at the 2001 Park Slope Jamboree. This performance of BABE represents my debut AND swan song (since I don't own one) on six-string banjo. The tune is a slow rag from the East Texas Serenaders.

This is a recording--off the radio--of a live performance of The New York Ramblers at the Second Fret in Philadelphia in 1965. At this time the Ramblers consisted of David Grisman-mandolin, Steve Arkin-banjo, Jim Field-guitar, and Julie Silber-bass. This concert was recorded by Pete Peterson (currently of the Orpheus Supertones) and his roommate at the time, Dave Howard (formerly of The Lazy Aces and Southern Schoolhouse Rascals).

Adam Hurt on fiddle, Beth Hartness on guitar, and Steve Arkin on banjo playing Folding Down the Sheets. I (Steve) was using a "generic" 3-finger style--not bluegrass/not old-time.

Another Round Peak tune from a session at Mount Airy 2012--I'm on banjo; I'll post the identities of the excellent fiddler and guitar player once I catch up with them and get their clearance.
