Texan by birth...Ozark Co. Mo. hillbilly raised...School of the Ozarks H.S. ...College of the Ozarks ( 1 yr. ). ... Retired railroad switchman, brakeman, conductor. 33 yrs. with Rock Island, C.& N.W., Katy, S.P., & Union Pacific railroad. I'm a fiddle player ( or play at it ). I've made 7 fiddles...2 from kits & 5 cigar-box fiddles. I also have a Maggini & a Stradavarius "Hellier" copy. I've also made 2 dulcimers from kits from Mt. Music Shop outta Mt. View Ark. I like working with crafts. I like about all banjo playing. There's some great banjo'ist on here. If I could attain a mediocre status I'd be happy. ( LOL ). Suposedly the only instrument attributed to the U.S. , credited to the African slave.
