My Instruments:
My main "axe" is a 1999 Prucha Professional. I also sometimes play a Gibson RB1 reissue from 1994 with Gibson Granada reissue ring and Prucha bridge. I have a couple of Recording King (and "Flinthill" rebranded RK banjos) that sound quite good, but since I had stainless steel frets put on my Prucha, the frets have stayed in good shape and I don't switch banjos all that much. I do like the Sullivan Roasted Maple bridges (along with Prucha bridges). I think I have a Sullivan bridge on my Prucha at present, and it seems to do a good job.
Favorite Bands/Musicians:
There too many to mention all of them, and if I leave some out (by forgetting), that wouldn't be fair to them.

I currently am (or was) playing in a few Portland / Northwest based bluegrass (or bluegrass/Americana) bands (The Grass Station, Michael Shay and Texas Express, the Peter Schwimmer Bluegrass Trio, the Columbians, the Brian Oberlin Bluegrass Quartet, Sam Hill, New Old Friends, Dr. Corn's Bluegrass Remedy, Ida Viper, Train 145, and others on a part time basis). I also played guitar with the Steve Hall Quintet (a Hammond organ based jazz group). I teach (banjo, guitar, mandolin, some fiddle, electric bass, and music / improvisation theory including jazz, blues, and other styles) and do a little recording here and there for other people's projects and some commercials, and my own stuff, when I'm feeling motivated. I do have lots of experience with banjo set up as well, so if your banjo needs some setup work, I might be able to help. In case you were wondering about my age, I'm really younger than what is indicated but I just don't like to post my age, birthday, etc. online. I guess I would pass for ?-".
