I have come to the conclusion that I will never be a great banjo player. But I am okay with that. I enjoy the music and the time I get to play. I love picking the few songs I know and trying to learn new songs. The music and the enjoyment of playing is what I look forward to after a long day at work. Some days I don’t have time to play, with balancing work, school, house up keep, and a wife, somedays there just is not enough time in the day for everything. I wish sometimes that I could play more and longer, but there is always something else to get done. So the live of a banjo player.

I started learning the banjo after retiring from the US Air Force (23 years). My wife was looking for a hobby for me that would keep me at home and not cost too much. Well she got the first part right. I enjoy playing but I am still learning.
