I got the chance this last week to go back to the states for some training at Little Rock, AR. I checked the internet before I left to see if there was any Bluegrass festival in the area. I lucked out and found the Lester Flatt Memorial R.V. Park in Otto, AR. It was their 20th annual fall bluegrass festival. Talk about an outstanding show. I went out Friday and then went back on Saturday all day. The show had Midnight Flight, Jake Landers from AL, The Millers from MO and Southern Strangers from AL. Friday night was an all gospel show and Saturday had a bluegrass workshop with Jake Landers (bluegrass Hall of Fame). All the banjo pickers were very helpful and enjoyed sharing their music. I also got to play alittle with Joe Jakonczuk of Arkansas Banjo Co. He had some of the nicest sounding banjo that I have ever heard. If you want one of his hand made banjos I have his telephone number and address, and you can find his banjos on line at Arkansas banjo Co. All in all great folks and great show, and I had the best time.
