When I started during the Dueling Banjo craze of the early 70''s, it was actually a Taj Mahal record" De Old Folks Back Home" that caught my attention. I learned to play both Clawhammer and Scruggs style in HS, mostly because I didn't understand the differences. That served me well. Recorded with Rhys Jones, Chirps Smith, Geoff Seitz, Bob Holt, Jim Landsford and Bobby Taylor.
