A salute to all of you for Veterans Day and every day. I've been learning banjo for about a year. it's a slow process, good thing I enjoy it, and a bonus is it drives the wife nuts.

I use a bridge mute or a small towel in the resonator ...works wonders with the wife!!!

I use wooden clothes pins in the bridge

I tried clothes pins, even the small ones, they tend to get in the way since I pick near the bridge. But if you can mute the bridge from only the upper half then it may deaden the sound alittle.
