Anybody out there.

Haven't heard from any of the Huber fans lately. I just put some new Keith tuners on my VRBG. They are sounding great. Got the replacement buttons from Steve (amber gumdrop) . They look great. I continue to be so proud of this banjo. It's starting to open up more and more.

I got a Huber before I got married cause I figured I wouldn't be able to justify it after I got married. It was the 2nd best decision of my life. The first best decision was deciding to ask my wife to marry me. She likes to listen to me play my banjo even though my brother says it sounds like cats going at it. (whatever that means). I got the VRBG as well but instead of the gold it's got chrome finished parts. It's also got a maroonish finish on the wood. I'll have to put some pictures up here, but the best thing about it is the sound it makes. As soon as I picked it up and picked the first string I could tell a difference in ton. Anyway, glad you are liking yours as much as I am mine.

It would be great to hear from some of the pro Huber players. Has anyone made any modifications? Not that the banjo needs any. I did change my bridge to a Sosbee. I play a lot with him and he happened to have one with him that he had just made from a piece of maple that was found in the ocean. I call it the Titanic bridge. We laugh about that. It sounds great on my banjo. Crow spacing. His red maple and aged bridges are great but this a bit different. I believe it brings out a bit more of the vintage.
