After reading the forums I decided to try some upgrades on my banjo. I purchased a Kershner tailpiece a Hatfield bridge and some deering light strings. I changed each one as the parts came in so I could see if there was a difference in the banjo. I have to say each one improved the sound. I think the Gold Tone BG-150 F is a fine instrument for a beginner and with some fine tuning a great instrument.
