Try opening these topics in new tabs, so you don't lose your position on your main tab.  It's easily done by just holding the CTRL button when clicking a link.  Then when you're done reading or replying to that topic, just close that tab.

Eric, I assume the pop up menus on the left column are here to stay. They are driving me nuts. Every time my mouse gets in the left column, the giant green boxes pop up. Is there a way to limit the pop-up to happen only when your mouse is on top of the link it is associated with? Just the typed name?  Something to make them less sensitive . I am reading many other complaints about these too so, I know its not juts me.

Eric, Its a security setting. I just got a message using IE that that section of the page is insecure. I went  back to Chrome and it says there is an unsecure script. When I allowed un-secure scripts, the photo page loaded.

When clicking on the thread title, I occasionally hit the author's name instead and end up on their home page instead of the topic. Can they be moved further apart?

Ive noticed when here on Chrome and my iPad, the header will partially disappear at times. It makes it very hard for me to find my name and the gear icon to sign out.

I've been in web development a long time, so I know how frustrating the post-launch bughunt is. Keep up the good work!

Two issues I discovered.

OS: Windows 7

ISSUE ONE:

BROWSER: Chrome Version 61.0.3163.91 (latest version)

NOTE -- This is NOT an issue on IE 10. Forum flyout / search box work as expected.

When mousing over "Forums" in the left sidebar... The links in the flyout work, but when I try to click into the "Search" box, the flyout disappears. I am not able to type into the search box from the flyout.

ISSUE TWO:

I discovered this issue when trying to add an attachment to this post. I thought I'd be able to upload a video capture from my computer, but the only option was to add a video from YouTube. So when I tried to cancel out of the attachment window, it would not close. I had to reload the entire page.

Anyone getting the PDF upload feature to work? I go down to "Attachments", click on "PDF", and then "browse" to choose a file from my hard disk, and then click "open" on a file. Then, nothing happens and I get a "Your attachment list is currently empty. Please add items from the list above." message. Jen - Still a work in progress. I thought the same when I first saw it.

The biggest problem I still see is the slowness of the loading of the screens - and that probably won't change. The designers didn't put enough thought into that part of the design.

I've found my way around the new interface. It's not quite as intuitive as Eric thought it would be. That's an opportunity missed. The original site in some ways was more intuitive.

Part of the problem - I think - is that there are still things to come that will make the site more useful - Like the right side bar is going to morph into a more useful communications tool.

So just hang in there.

Eric: From the Learn Tab, you go to 'Advanced TAB Search' I think it should be 'TAB Search.'

In the upper left corner - the white box you can very faintly see it says TAB search. Need to change the font (Win 10, Firefox). A TAB search on California resulted in a search of the internet (like the old upper right search box). I expected a search of the TABS. So I don't see any way to do context search for a TAB.

Hey Eric, I'm really liking the new format in many ways....especially as much as I use mobile devices....But today I have encountered a problem on my iphone. The entire site is relegated to the far right only taking up a third of the screen... everything else is blank... Of course that is causing everything to open strangely...

BTW...looks fine on the ipad.

Still looks the same but I just discovered that I can enter a temporary window size change (Ctrl-) and the profile controls magically come in from the right side, and then when I get to the link I wanted I use Ctrl+ to restore the original screen size.

Works for me.
