Just got home from ice fishing all day and had a great big bowl of chili and some homemade beer bread warm with cold butter. Al, as full as I am your rib roast is making me drool and I could eat again!!! Damn that looks tasty!!! I can only imagine Liz cooked up some great sides to go with it .

A perfect evening! Brad
Wife made a dinner around the unused hunk of pork loin we bought for the earlier pasole. I made the cocktails.
Sliced pork loin in the instant pot with a gravy and green beans and beets. And I popped a nice bottle of Oregon Chardonnay. quick and good! Later hot tea and fresh cream puffs from a nearby Viet Namese bakery. Brad
Brad , that plate if food is right in my wheelhouse and looks amazing!!! I woke up hungry this morning and then I have to look at this . LOL. I have an Aunt that makes the best damn Cream Puffs I’ve ever had and 10 times better than the ones from the Wisconsin State Fair. The only problem is, she loves to say and use ( Pate a Choux )
In every other word when she’s talking about her Cream Puffs. For those that don’t know, Pate a Choux is the pastry dough used to make cream puffs. She even tries to use an accent when she says it………..drives me nuts but worth listening to to have one of her creations!!!
Slammer!!!
Liz here:
It was almost curtains for me tonight! I added one - count it, one - jalapeno to the stir fry and practically gassed myself out of the house. It must have been an especially potent one, as they never do that any more! Hacking my lungs up aside, it was a pretty good stir fry, with mixed vegetables, chicken, and shiritake noodles.

This could be the start of something big. Next thing you know, you and Al will be describing your Napa Wine Tour. ;-). Brad
Recreating one of Al's faves from our go-to Mexican joint: grilled ribeye with a chipotle, onion, and pepper sauce. I used a can of red enchilada sauce, mixed with some leftover sauteed veggies and a few chipotles in adobo sauce. Instead of ribeyes, I used some sirloin tips and pan fried them indoors, as it's raining.

As I continue to feed Marilyn, as she continues to get past Covid, I made Oma’s gruhn bohnen suppe (green bean soup) .
Sauté’d ribeye beef and deer meat chunks in rendered beef fat and bacon grease, added a chopped onion, added some chopped portobello mushrooms, added beef broth, added chunked potatoes, and fresh green beans. Flavored with Vegeta, summer savory, dried parsley, a bayleaf, and a bit of S&P.
I forgot to add some garlic. (A few hacks from Oma’s recipe)

They came out pretty good. Each one had three wrappers.
Sounds like a good (even better) alternative to other doughs or wraps. Did you happen to have wonton wrappers in the house. Or did the recipe call for wonton wraps. We just never have those around, like we do tortillas, breads, and other stuff. Brad

Pizza sounds pretty good to me. Supper tonight is looking like a pepperoni, sausage and onion pizza!
I hope things get better for you both very soon.

I need to buy a new spatula for smash burgers - all ours are slotted and we can’t squash the meat balls hard enough without them sticking through the slots
I love the fact yer kids git involved... :0)
