Ha! Ha! A crazy buddy of mine was razzing a lady in the Deli/Bakery Dept. of his local grocery store .
He told her he bought a Black Forest Cake there & was disappointed there wasn't any ham in it!

Ok, I will play the carb police. Those peas should be broccoli or cauliflower, or green beans if limited. Is that a bread/flour crust on those pork chops-not allowed. Brown em in butter, watch the onion intake.
Are you counting daily carbs? Important to go the first couple of weeks with very few carbs to get that blood sugar thing going. I try to eat nearly 0 carbs that first couple of weeks.
Good luck on your venture! Brad

Congrats! What you are doing is working, eh. Brad
Despite the fact that today is grocery shopping day, I'll have yam fries and a nice piece of cod from my freezer.
Fixings for a salad ought to arrive about noonish.
My kitchen smells really nice today. Spilled a bottle of vanilla last night.
I'm off a statin med so decided to buy grapefruit, which I have not eaten for many decades. $3.50 each.
I don't object to paying for good quality but WOW! I'd rather suck on a lime.

I saw this & thought No Way! Yep! That's only $45 a lb. Processed Dungeness crab is $65 a Lb. at Pike Place market! I worked a season selling fish here & a live legal crab was between 40 to 50 bucks! I found it hard to look people in the eye & tell them that!
Having lived on the east coast I watch lobster prices too. I know I'm far from Nova Scotia but It's $45 for a 1.5Lb live lobster here! I used to get a 5gal. bucket of big crab keepers for under a hundred bucks!
I think I'd have to move to the East Coast to really get my seafood fix on!
Sometimes simple is better!!! Had a ring of my sons homemade cheesy venison kielbasa, sauerkraut, baked beans and homemade buttered beer bread!!!
The venison kielbasa is a little more firm than traditional, but same flavor profile.
Best with Aldi German style beer mustard!!! All so good, other than I couldn’t stand to be in da same room with myself, not to mention my ice shack the next day!!!
Slammer!!!
Terry had to work yesterday & today at the printers. They are under security lock down working on the the B.C. budget for the legislature this week.
I made smash burgers for supper yesterday. I ground up a small simmering blade steak with an added piece of beef fat. They only have lean & extra lean in most grocery stores here. turned out awesome with Cavendish frozen onion rings.
Burgers were thin, crusted double burgers with cheddar between & on top with fried mushrooms & dried onions! Nailed it! What's for dinner tonight? Same thing!
Bubba is on breakfast dishes. laundry. grocery shopping , snow shoveling & maybe catch a bit of the race today!
Slammer, the citrus sauce for the calamari was a rare treat. Must learn that one.
I could pour that stuff on just about any food and love it.
I'd usually order some fries (hot seasoned for "two beers".) Take my time with the food.
Often the owner would sit for a visit that rarely interrupted my dinner.
