After some repair work (replacement 5th string peg etc.), the banjo sounds and plays great. It's comfortable, with a neck about 1 fret short of the modern standard. I've strung it with Aquila Nylgut strings. I assume it's English, there is no maker apparent.

Nice banjo. I have an SSS Thoroughbred with the spun over rim. Too, it is nylgut strung. These banjos are fine old players from a different time. David E.
