Written 1963, when I was far from home and sad. And, even though us kids from the 1950's were taught NOT to cry when sad, I said to myself

Sometimes, the people at the sing along ask for one more song. And I used to ask them what they wanted to hear. But they might call out a title I did not KNOW. So, I wrote a song called "ONE MORE SONG", so as to satisfy their request to hear "One More Song"! Sort of Irish sounding, to my NON-Irish ears.

How it sounds, without the finished top nut, and without the tailpiece finally adjusted. Also, USED strings.

Justput ONE string on a temporary neck, to see if an electronic drum head would work as a banjo component. No frets, very high nut, but it DOES pick up the sound of the string. ( A third, if I guessed right. Wasn't in a package, just laying in the SPARES drawer.

Not my usual lighthearted silliness. Herod's army at its worst. Seeger style on a Stelling Golden Cross.

I e-mailed him, told him it needed a banjo track. So I capoed up, played into my AUDACITY program while his BHO file was running, and here's the first attempt;

"WORRIED MAN BLUES" on my 2015 Salad Bowl Banjo with the internal tension system. Tried it Scruggs style, Clawhammer style, and Seeger style. Bridge is temporary, head has not been tensioned very much. But, so far, so good!

Slightly tighter head, slightly higher bridge. Bridge on first MP3 was so low, I tucked a nickel AND a penny under one foot to raise it. Losing that much extra weight should brighten it up quite a bit. What's YOUR ear tell you??

An old Quaker hymn. Played on the HANSEN2 banjo. Made from a salad bowl, some maple from a discarded futon, with bicycle spokes for the tension hooks.
