This song came about when I was thinking about the old man next door that had this old Hamilton RR watch.. He had this worn out spot on his overalls that was the shape of the watch. Today I have that watch which brings back a bunch of memories for me.

Katie found this song on the Dappled Grays CD and really likes to sing it in church. This was recorded at Faith Baptist Church in Ballground, Ga.

This song was written by my cousin/banjo picker Mike Meador. Mike likes and plays Ralph Stanley style and I think its a good song.

Song I wrote that kinda is along the lines of Old Buried Treasures. The old woman next door had an old worn out Bible next to her bed. Somehow that memory inspired this tune.

My daughter's boyfriend had a friend who's father passed away. He came to the house kinda upset, and Tristan wrote this song as a dedication to that friends loss.

I wrote this song long before we ever put a tune to it. Its the only song on the Old Buried Treasures cd that I actually played the banjo on.

I got the idea for this song from a man I knew who grew up down the road from me. He used to hold a sign out on the interstate exit begging for money. Then pack up and go home down the road to his mama and daddy's house. He wasn't homeless or starving just begging. Now that is not to say that there isn't real people struggling to survive, because there is. This song just throws little humor towards those that aren't really as bad off as it seems. They just need to get things right.

Another song written by my oldest daughter about to come out on her solo project. This is from the video camera, so the quality is not that great, but a good song. I kinda get carried away with the banjo picking on this one sometimes when I play on it.
