This is an interesting tune which no one can place its origin. I've been playing it for years on the Native American Rivercane Flute. The Cherokees call it the Trail of Tears song when they sing it in their native tongue. If you listen to this song you'll hear the flute bark at one point. The flutes also are called love flutes or courting flutes by the Cherokee and Choctaw.
