Backing Tracks ....

Wednesday, May 13, 2015

Its about 12 months since I started playing, and I've developed MBS (Multiple Banjo Syndrome ) ...lol

So I now have a Recording King R36 Madison - Deering Goodtime and a Washburn B14 - the latest two I found in 'Gumtree' at a very reasonable price, hardly played, I find the Deering handy to pick up quickly because its so light ( no Tone Ring ) but it sounds terrific, and easy to play - the Washburn B14 has been sitting in the sellers wardrobe for abut 5 years, not a mark on it, its 5/8 deeper pot than the RK-R36 and sounds good with new strings so I have been having a lot of fun ... but now I'm wondering if you guys use any special Backing Tracks to play along with.

I've just got a Large Speaker USB MP3 player, come Public address system which has great sound, easy to use, just pop the USB in the top and away she goes, I've recorded a few tracks from the TEF Library here, which is handy cos they can be slowed right down and I get to choose what instruments I play with on the Multi Track versions.

So do you guys have some special place that you go to find backing tracks to play along with ? .......... cheers
