The good news first... i am comfortable with all the tunes in "from scratch" and "buzzard", and i have down 4 tunes from levenson's new "festival tunes" (maggie, the red haired boy, whiskey for breakfast, and washington's march) .
Where i fall short:
1. i had hoped for more facility in jigs by this time. but i guess i needed to get the basic skills down first. have not nearly given up on this project.
2. i had hoped, by this time, to be able to "sing with the banjo". this is a givup, or at least change in direction. the guitar (speaking only for me) is just so much better suited to my voice.
