Occupation: Firefighter/EMT-Basic

Gender: Male
Age: 37

My Instruments:
1927 Gibson TB-3 Converted 5-String Archtop, Morgan Monroe, and a Top Tension project.

Favorite Bands/Musicians:
(Banjo) Earl Scruggs, Cia Cherryholmes, Ned Luberecki, Grace Van't Hof, Noam Pikelny, Tony Trischka, Bela Fleck, Gabe Hirshfeld, Sammy Shelor.
I have no favorite banjo style. I try to play the solid but simple Scruggs styles like Sammy Shelor, Cia Cerryholmes and Grace Van't Hof. Melodic riffs are really cool and sound awesome, but I like the heavy driving rhythm.
(Bands) Long list.... All bands in Bluegrass have their own distinguishing characteristics. I really want to tip my hat to the the small-time hometown local bands!! These are the bands that got me into the music. To leave them out would not be adding credit where credit is due!

I have been playing since November 2007. I would like to thank the 317 Main St. Community Music Center in Yarmouth, Maine for giving me what now consumes my life... Music. I am trained as a Machinist by trade, and am an active licensed Maine EMT and Firefighter. I didn't discover music until after I graduated High School. For me Music is what makes life worth living!
