Banjo music has always appealed to me and I decided to take up the banjo at age 50. I envy those who have an ear for music. With little natural talent, progress has been slow, but that's OK. I enjoy playing and I take much satisfaction from small accomplishments. Being a mechanical engineer, I enjoy taking things apart and seeing how they work so the banjo is a perfect instrument for me. I had a single instrument for a long time but I've learned that it is a lot more interesting to own two (or more)banjos so that you can compare.
