Check out my videos on youtube(Banjozone or westwind1957) I caught the banjo bug in 1973. I heard a recording of "The Living Guitars" playing Earl's Breakdown and that was all it took. Back then there were very few intructional materials available, so I wore my finger picks backward until I saw a copy of Pete Wernick's book. I was fortunate to be able to take lessons from Lynn Morris for a couple of years. I started the band The Bluegrass Patriots in Fort Collins Co in 79. I won the Colorado state contest a few times and got second at Winfield in ྍ. I played music for a living for years also played pedal steel for years. I played with The Flying W Wranglers for 10 years in Colorado Springs and also played in some Branson MO shows for 4.5 years. Here is a link to some free lessons I have posted at Youtube: http://youtube.com/profile?user=westwind1957
