Grew up in musical family with classical and ragtime music being played nonstop around the house. I played sports instead of music, but have had tunes bouncing around in my head all my life. I've always been interested in the banjo. Now that I have a little time I thought I would give it a try. I tried 3 finger for about 8 months. Not long ago I tried clawhammer, within two weeks I realized this is for me. Other interests include, hunting, building a small cabin in the Colorado mountains and coaching boys and girls high school tennis in the small town where I live.
