For some time now I have been having some health issues, weak spells with shaking, sweating, headaches and other problems, I have gone to my doctor and he tried some things but it never seemed to help. My son who is a Paramedic was home one Sunday when I was having a spell and he checked my blood sugar, which was about 97, then he listened to my heart, now for many years I have had a very slow heart rate, from what I understand most folks heart rate are around 60, mine is around the upper 30's to the low 40's. He said that my heart didn't sound right and that I should see a heart doctor, so I did. After a bunch of test and wearing a monitor I now have to have a pacemaker installed on the 14th of this month. Of course it's scary and makes one think about many things, but I have come to realize that if this is what I need and it will make me feel better then that is what needs to be done. I have been burning up the internet looking about pacemakers and watching You-Tube on how it's put in and how it works, it doesn't look that bad, but I'm no doctor. I just hope that all goes well and this is answer that I need to get my heath back on track, thanks for letting me share this.

I have been playing bluegrass for many years, my father was the one who turned me on to this style of music. I'm always listening for new types of playing the banjo. At this time I'm playing with 2 different groups, first with 91SOUTH a bluegrass/light country group that my parents and 2 other people formed, second Valley Grass, a bluegrass gospel group that has ties to many different vocal arrangments and sounds. I like the wide range of music that I'm doing right now from progressive to hard driving bluegrass. I'm having a blast playing with some great friends and players plus it's great to be able to play with my parents and share the time with them.
