60s-70s recordings of Clarence Ashley & Watson Family, Roscoe Holcomb, Wade Ward, Carter Family, reissues of 78s. Late 60s-early 70s County LPs of Jenkins, Jarrell & Cockerham, Fuzzy Mt. LPs pointed the way to visiting & learning from elders. Last 20 years: 2 & old-time 3 finger banjo styles of TN, NC & VA. Love to play in string bands at fiddlers conventions, square dances, family & community occasions.
