I started pickin’ banjo at 13, and in a few months I was in my first band. I played with them for almost three years, and during that time started another band with some friends of mine called "Blue Lightning". I took a big step forward when I joined Delaney Brothers Bluegrass (www.delaneybrothers.com), a regional band from N.Y. I played with them for 3 years, and they really taught me a lot about what makes a musician more professional. SInce that first banjo, I have picked up other strings: mando, guitar, fiddle, bass, and dobro (which you can hear in my music files here in the songs "Only in My Mind" and "Pothole Blues"). Currently I am with the Abrams Brothers from Kingston, Ontario. Our first music video is airing on CMT now, and hopefully we will be on the road full-time soon, which has always been one of my goals. My goals: To be picked up by a national band; one with members who have morals. Bluegrass or Country, I would love either, and I don’t pride myself on my voice...I’m definitely the sideman type. To get my music out there; I wouldn’t mind being the faceless guy who writes songs for the guys who actually make it. I also have my own myspace page for my original music at www.myspace.com/pickin5strings. I only have a few songs on there so far, but will add more as soon as I get time to make some respectable recordings of them. :)
