I've been playing old-time banjo since 1978 or so. My husband plays bluegrass banjo, so we have quite a banjo household. I'm partial to the music of the Galax area. I live in Grayson County, Virginia and am the Program/Marketing Director at Chestnut Creek School of the Arts in Galax. I participate in many of the fiddlers conventions held in this part of the country, and also attend concerts and other gatherings.
